Why should you have a good morning routine?

From the time you wake up, you think about everything you have to do in the day, causing you to feel overwhelmed. By having a morning routine, you do similar things every day, making you feel more grounded and less overwhelmed. Doing a morning routine daily can help you boost your energy, productivity, and positivity. When you have a slow start to the day, you feel lazy and rushed and those feelings will last throughout the day. However, when you start the day with a routine, it gets you on track from the beginning and makes you more productive throughout the day. Maintaining this feeling will help you waste no time, and it will lead to an increased focus. It can also help to decrease stress. Your stress builds up when you have a lack of time to complete a number of tasks. By starting the day with a routine, you know exactly what you should be doing. By decreasing stress, it will decrease your risk of developing anxiety, depression, and other illnesses in the future. It will also improve your confidence and self-esteem because feeling calm and collected will make you feel good about yourself and will help you to trust yourself more.

How will a good morning routine help you throughout the day?

Having a good morning routine will help to decrease stress, and it will help to be more productive throughout the day. It also helps you to focus better and it gets you on track from the beginning of the day so that you do not waste time. Morning routines can help boost functions in your body including sleep-wake cycles and metabolism and can lead to an improved mental and physical health over time. Morning routines can also help to maintain your energy levels throughout the day and can lead to a decreased chance of feeling sleepy and exhausted in the afternoons. This way you stay energized and well-rested throughout the day. In a morning routine, the person might not eat food for about an hour after waking up. This has scientifically been proven to improve digestion and keep your energy levels and focus up throughout the day.

What are examples of good morning habits and routines to follow?

An example of a morning routine during the summer can include:

8:00- Opening your eyes and waking up

8:05- Get out of bed and open the curtains to get sunlight

8:15- Eat a nutritious breakfast to start your day off right

8:45- Read and drink water to get your mind stimulated and you body hydrated

9:00- Get some exercise

9:30-10:00- Get ready for the day

10:15- Plan and organize your day

A lot of successful people have morning routines in order to help them get ready for the day. For example, Muhammad Ali starts his day by reading positive affirmations that help to change his beliefs, behaviors, and thoughts. While you might not like getting up early each day, routines can help you to enjoy the morning time. It is also very important to drink water as soon as you wake up which will help boost your energy levels and it will also improve your emotional balance.

If you have more time, what are other things you could incorporate into your routine?

Especially during the summer, you might be able to ease into your day more easily and relaxed. First, open the curtains and let the air flow in which can increase your alertness and energy throughout the day. This also puts you in a good mood. You can also start off your day by reading a book to help get your mind started while staying away from screens so your eyes do not get stressed. Journaling is also an easy way to practice mindfulness and it can help to clear your mind of stress and anxiety. If possible, try to delay drinking coffee or anything that contains caffeine for about 90-120 minutes after waking. This helps to maintain your energy levels throughout the day and can help you to not feel sleepy in the afternoons. Also, try to delay eating food for about an hour after waking up. It takes about an hour for your organs to wake up and they are not fully prepared to digest food as soon as you wake up. Following this can improve digestion and help your energy levels and focus throughout the day.

How can you make a morning routine suited to you?

The morning is a good time to organize your thoughts and your plans for the day. For example, making a list of everything you have to do that day can help you to feel more organized and help you to get started on your day. Think about something you want to do during the day, something that interests you. Journaling in the morning is also a great way to start off the day by practicing mindfulness and thinking about what’s on your mind. If you have time, some exercise can also help. This doesn’t mean going to a gym all the time, just walking outside or doing yoga is also a good way to wake up your body.
