Since our founding in 2020, MonuMental has developed and grown in a positive direction. We’re very proud of the diversity of our 100+ volunteers and their abilities to contribute their own unique experience and skills to support our mission. Learn more about our Leadership Team below.

Harini Sethuraman

President

Harini Sethuraman is a rising senior at Mt. Hebron High School. In her free time, she enjoys volunteering, doing research, and spending time with her friends and family. Her future goals are to pursue a career in medicine. In school, Harini is involved in several clubs such as Science Olympiad and HOSA as well as multiple honor societies. Through MonuMental, she hopes to create awareness, make an impact in the community, and destigmatize mental health.

Angela Huang

Vice President

Angela Huang is a rising senior at Centennial High School. She enjoys meeting new people, public speaking, and advocating through leadership and community service. She hopes to one day become a pediatric oncology travel nurse helping kids around the world and wishes she can help students to understand their mental health through MonuMental.

Ivy Nguyen

Secretary

Ivy is a rising senior at River Hill High School. Some fun facts about her are that she loves to read, getting involved in her community, and hanging out with her friends. Aside from Monumental, she's involved in French Honor Society, FBLA, and RHDA in her school. She is on the cheer team and hopes to disseminate information about mental health and provide guidance for students in Howard County. 

Sarayu Lanka

Website Manager

Sarayu Lanka is a rising sophomore at Howard High School. Some fun facts about her are that she likes to read, play the piano, and code in her free time. Mainly though, she loves making an impact in her community through volunteering, and putting a smile on peoples' faces. She is involved in Robotics, Science Olympiad, and HOSA, as well as organizations outside of school. With Monumental, Sarayu hopes to make a real difference and help those struggling with mental health who may not know how to address it.

Riddhi Mittal

Social Media Manager

Riddhi Mittal is a rising sophomore at River Hill High School who enjoys being involved in school through her position as class president, multiple clubs, and sports. In her free time, you can find her volunteering, traveling, staying active, or hanging out with friends and family. Her future career goal is to become a surgeon. Through Monumental, Riddhi hopes to help break the barrier of stigma surrounding mental health by encouraging students to talk more openly about their mental well-being.

Kaydence Abraham

Events Coordinator

Kaydence Abraham is a rising junior at Marriotts Ridge High School. She enjoys exploring new music, volunteering, and spending time with friends and family. In the future, she hopes to pursue a career in dentistry. At school, Kaydence is involved in band, debate, and MedSurplus United. She hopes to help break the stigma around mental health, uplift others, and inspire positive change in her community through Monumental.

Kai-Lin Yu

Kai-Lin Yu serves as the President of the Board of Directors for MonuMental. 5 years ago, Kai-Lin started a student-led mental health organization, MonuMental based in Howard County, Maryland. She currently serves as one of the Board of Directors, and works to create a positive impact and work towards destigmatizing mental illness in our community. Kai-Lin's hobbies include mental health advocacy, running, cycling, music, and hanging out with friends and family. Kai-Lin is pursuing a double degree in accounting and marketing with a minor in innovation and entrepreneurship at the University of Maryland.

Ralph Massella

Ralph, a retired Mortgage Banking Executive, is a proud community volunteer. He enjoys being a mentor, life/leadership coach, park ranger and naturalist!
Howard County Conservancy, Leadership Howard County, Loyola University, Patapsco Valley State Park are some of the organizations where you’ll find Ralph.
Quote: “Working with young people is like stepping into a Time Machine that’s continually transporting you to evolving perspectives.”
Activities: reading, running, biking, hiking, painting, playing music and expanding knowledge on human development!
